I,STATEMENT OF CASE

On September 7, 2006, the State charged Keith Brewer with one count of aggravated burglary. He pled not guilty. On January 24, 2007, a twelve-person jury found Brewer guilty as charged. The court denied his motion for new trial on March 8, 2007. On April 13, 2007, the State filed a multiple bill alleging that Brewer was a fourth offender. After a hearing on June 8, 2007, the court found Brewer guilty on the multiple bill and sentenced him to serve fifty years at hard labor. On July 10, 2007, the court granted Brewer’s motion for appeal.…
