The defendant, Nathaniel Schaffner, was indicted in the criminal court of Cook county for the murder of Emma Laisure while attempting to produce an abortion. A jury found him guilty and fixed his punishment at fourteen years’ imprisonment in the penitentiary. Defendant prosecutes this writ of error. s
