Amos Jodet Stevenson, also known as Amos Joe Stevenson, appeals from his conviction by a jury of the offense of attempted murder. The jury assessed his punishment at eighteen years in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and a $5,000 fine. In four points he contends that the trial court erred by: (1) admitting an unadjudicated criminal act in the punishment phase that the State did not prove beyond a reasonable doubt as required by Article 37.07, section 3(a) of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure; (2) admitting gang-affiliation evidence at punishment…
