Plaintiff Steven P. Machia is a claimant for Social Security Disability Insurance benefits (SSDI). He brings this action against the Social Security Commissioner pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 405(g) to reverse the Commissioner’s final decision that he is not disabled, and to remand for a calculation and award of benefits. Machia filed a Motion for Summary Judgment on January 8, 2009 (Doc. 10), and the Commissioner filed a Motion for an Order Affirming the Social Security Administration’s (“SSA”) Decision on March 17, 2009.
