The defendant in error has moved to dismiss the writ of error on the ground that this court has no jurisdiction to review the judgment of the Circuit Court in this case. At common law the exercise by a court of competent jurisdiction of the power to punish for contempt could not be reviewed. 9 Cyc. 61. “The power to punish for contempts is inherent in all courts.
