On June 4, 1912, 126 resident property taxpaying voters residing in a certain defined territory in Johnson county presented to the commissioners' court of that county, pursuant to the terms of article 628 of our Revised Statutes, a petition for an election to be held in said district to determine whether or not bonds of such district should be issued in the sum of $75,000 for the purpose “of constructing, maintaining, or operating macadamized, graveled or paved roads and turnpikes in said district, or in aid thereof,” and “also as to whether or not a tax shall he levied upon the property of…
