I agree with the majority. I write separately to focus upon a Neil2 inquiry during jury selection.
Hill alleged that the trial court erred in connection with the prosecution’s striking of a black juror from the group of prospective jurors. Hill is black, and the victim of the crimes was white. During initial questioning of the jury, the court asked, “Have any of you ever testified as a witness in any type of litigation?” Several jurors had this experience.
