In January 1992, Pamela Armstrong filed suit against Flowers Hospital, Inc. alleging a violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (“Title VII”), 42 U.S.C. § 2000e-2(a)(1) and (2), as amended by the Pregnancy Discrimination Act of 1978 (“PDA”), 42 U.S.C. § 2000e(k). Armstrong’s complaint also asserted claims of fraudulent misrepresentation and breach of contract. The district court granted summary judgment in favor of Flowers Hospital on Armstrong’s claim of disparate treatment and disparate impact under Title VII, and on her claim of fraudulent…
