This is an appeal from a decree of the Circuit Court of Lake County which upheld the validity of the zoning ordinance of the City of Highwood as such ordinance related to the plaintiff’s property.

The property in question is part of the abandoned right-of-way of the Chicago, North Shore & Milwaukee Railway in the City of Highwood in Lake County. It is approximately one-half mile in length from North to South and an average of 115 feet in width. The railroad tracks have been removed and the property is vacant at present.
