This is a compensation suit in which plaintiff claims total and permanent disability. After trial there was judgment in favor of defendant rejecting plaintiff's demands, from which judgment plaintiff has appealed.

About 4:30 or 5 o'clock on the afternoon of December 27, 1943, plaintiff was standing beside a cotton press sewing heads of bagging on a bale of cotton. While no exact description of the press is given in the testimony, we assume that it was of the kind in ordinary and common use by cotton compresses.
