In the original act establishing the Land Court there was no provision for the revision by this court of questions of law arising in that court. Questions of law arising upon trial in the Superior Court on an appeal from the Land Court might be brought here “ in the same manner as in proceedings at law in said [Superior] court.” St. 1898, c. 562, § 14, now R. L. c. 128, § 13. A subsequent statute provided that questions of law arising in the Land Court might be taken directly to this court for revision in the same manner as questions of law are taken to this court from the Superior Court.
