MEMORANDUM OPINION

ELLIS, District Judge.

This is an appeal from a denial of Social Security disability benefits. It presents the question whether substantial evidence exists to support the Secretary’s determination that the claimant, Willie Ballard, is not disabled as defined by the Social Security Act (SSA) and therefore not entitled to disability benefits. As is the practice in this division, this matter was referred to the Magistrate for a report and recommendation. See 28 U.S.C. § 636.
