This was an action of replevin, to recover certain merchandise which the plaintiffs sold to George Black-man, doing business at St. Louis under the style of George Blackman & Company. The ground of the action is, that Blackman purchased the goods from the plaintiffs, not intending to pay for them. It appeared in. evidence that Blackman never had any transactions with the plaintiffs except the single one in question, although the plaintiffs sent their trade circulars to him, as they did to other persons known to be engaged in the leather trade.
