Appellant, Jehu Ramirez, was sentenced to consecutive terms of life in prison after being found guilty of sexual battery and lewd or lascivious molestation of a four-year-old girl, A.Z. Ramirez raises six issues on appeal, only two of which merit discussion: (1) whether the trial court erred in admitting his confession into evidence without first determining that the confession was trustworthy as required by section 92.565, Florida Statutes; and (2) whether his dual convictions violate the prohibition against double jeopardy.
