Cassius Leigh filed the bill in this ease •on the chancery side of the circuit court of Lafayette •county, against Virginia ~W. Armor, alleging, in substance, ■as follows:

That complainant brought suit against defendant on the law side of the same court, on a note for $600, executed by her to him, the twenty-seventh of December, 1870, payable at twelve months, with 10 per cent, interest. That defendant filed an answer, and at the September term, 1877, the case was submitted to a jury, and on the evidence and instructions of the court, a verdict was returned in favor •of…
