Appellant brought this suit in the Champaign county circuit court to recover damages alleged to have been sustained by her, growing out of the death of appellant’s intestate, which occurred on August 5, 1930, charged to have been caused by the negligence of appellee, a municipal corporation, organized under the laws of this State, by virtue of an act of the General Assembly entitled, “An Act to provide for the organization of park districts and the transfer of submerged lands to those bordering on navigable bodies of water,” approved June 24, 1895.
