PALMIERI, District Judge.

Defendants are being tried for unlawfully trafficking in narcotics [21 U.S.C. § 173 (1952) ; 21 U.S.C.A. § 174 (Supp. 1956)] and for conspiring so to do between April and September of 1956. 1 [Int.Rev.Code §§ 4704(a), 4701, 4703, 4724(c), 4771(a) (1954), 26 U.S.C. §§ 4704(a), 4701, 4703, 4724(c), 4771(a); 21 U.S.C. § 173 (1952); 21 U.S.C.A. § 174 (Supp.1956)].
