In an action to recover damages for personal injuries, the plaintiff appeals from an order of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Dabiri, J.), dated May 1, 2006, which, after a jury verdict finding the defendant Andrei Kuzin 95% at fault and the defendant City of New York 5% at fault in the happening of the accident, and awarding the plaintiff damages in the sums of $1,000,000 for past pain and suffering and $500,000 for future pain and suffering, (a) granted those branches of the motion of *794the defendant Andrei Kuzin which were pursuant to CPLR 4404 to set aside the verdict for the plaintiffs…
