Appeal from the court of the parish and city of New-Orleans.

The only point in issue in this case is whether a certain power of attorney mentioned in the petition, be legally proven, so as to be ad*326mitted in evidence. The suit was before this court in February, 1816, and was remanded with directions to the judge, to receive testimonial proof of the genuineness of the signatures, and of the official character of the person, who appears to have received the instrument, as a notary public. 4 Martin, 283, 605.
