Plaintiff, Joan Berg, brought a personal injury action against the defendants, Allied Security, Inc., Chicago (Allied), and Podolsky & Associates, Inc. (Podolsky). On September 4, 1996, the circuit court granted both defendants’ motions for summary judgment. Plaintiff subsequently filed a motion to reconsider, which requested, in the alternative, leave to file a second amended complaint.
