Defendants David McConnell and Debora Smith were convicted on two counts of armed robbery (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1973, ch. 38, par. 18 — 2) following a jury trial. Judgments were entered on the verdicts, and defendants were sentenced to terms of 10 to 20 years and 4 to 8 years respectively. On appeal, defendant McConnell contends that the motion to quash his arrest and suppress evidence and identification was improperly denied because the police lacked probable cause to stop the car in which he was riding, and that his concurrent sentences for the two counts of armed robbery were excessive.
