In the general election of 1928, Ben F. Spivey was elected-to the office of sheriff of Jasper County for the usual term of four years. Before entering upon the duties of his office, he executed the required official bond for the full term, upon which the Fidelity & Deposit Company of Maryland became the surety; the said bond being approved by the proper authorities, the County Commissioners of the county. As provided in Section 749, Volume 3, Code of 1922, the cost of the premium on the bond was paid by the County Commissioners…
