11Mitchell Scott Johnson was sentenced by a judge after pleading guilty to financial identity fraud, theft by receiving, and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance. We previously certified this case to the Arkansas Supreme Court to determine whether an appeal could be taken in this matter. The supreme court held that an appeal was proper.1 We now consider Johnson’s arguments: (1) the State should not have been allowed to introduce evidence of his juvenile criminal history and (2) the court handed down an illegal sentence.
