HOLLINGSWORTH, Judge.

By an information filed in the Circuit Court of the City of St. Louis, defendant was charged with the crime of robbery in the first degree, as defined in § 560.120 RSMo 1959, V.A.M.S., (to which revision all statutory references herein are made unless otherwise indicated). The information also alleged the prior conviction of defendant of the felony of escaping from imprisonment upon a criminal charge, before conviction, for which he had been sentenced to and served a term of six months imprisonment in the St. Louis City Workhouse.
