HUNSTEIN, Justice.

Appellant Leonard Billings was convicted of felony murder, armed robbery, burglary and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime in connection with the shooting death of Michael Clay. The trial court sentenced him to life imprisonment on the felony murder conviction. Billings appeals from the denial of his motion for new trial on various grounds. For the reasons that follow, we affirm in part and vacate in part.
