Defendant was charged with armed robbery, armed violence, intimidation, theft over $150 and unlawful use of weapons. The case was submitted to a jury on the armed robbery and armed violence charges only, and the jury returned a guilty verdict on each. Judgment and sentence were entered on the verdict, the defendant receiving a sentence of 25 years.
