The appellant was, on the 5th of January, 1889, incorporated under the provisions of Article twenty-three of the Code of Public General Laws of this State. By the second paragraph of its certificate of incorporation, it appears that the said corporation so formed is a corporation for social or fraternal beneficial purposes, or both, and to carry out which it shall enact a constitution and laws for its government, which shall prescribe- and define the duties of its officers, its mode of govern-*549merit and methods of conduct, and the various moans whereby it may aim to improve and benefit its…
