Appellee is a drainage district organized by the county court of Jackson County, and appellants are owners of real property in the district. When the assessments of benefits were made and the list filed with the county court fo.r approval, appellants appeared and protested against the assessments. The cause was heard on the protest of appellants on May 22, 1922, by the county court, and judgment was rendered approving the assessments. This judgment was entered of record on June 5, 1922, whereupon appellants filed their-petition and affidavit for appeal, and an order was made on June 9…
