This suit is to recover compensation at the rate of $20.00 per week for a period of not exceeding 400 weeks, plus medical expenses not exceeding $500.00, on account of an injury received by the plaintiff on or about the 16th day of January, 1947, which injury is alleged to have caused bilateral herniae or both a left and a right inguinal hernia, causing total and permanent disability.
