On January 12, 1911, plaintiffs obtained a judgment against W. A. Neely, which was recorded in the mortgage book of the parish of Calcasieu 'on January 26, 1911, and took effect, as a judicial mortgage, upon a half section of land then owned and occupied by the judgment debtor, and there is still due upon that judgment a balance exceeding the amount here involved. On May 12, 1911, John H. Lewis obtained judgment, by confession, against the same defendant, which was recorded in the conveyance book of the parish on January 5, 1912, for amounts aggregating $4,623.19, of…
