*97The Electric Transmission Company of Virginia, hereafter called the owner, entered into a contract with Jewell & Son Company (a corporation), hereafter called the contractor, for the construction of an addition to the owner’s power plant at “The Pocket,” in Lee county, Virginia, for the sum of $54,800.00. The contractor was required to give bond for the faithful performance of its contract.
