McCALEB, Justice.
Exercising the supervisory powers vested in us by Article 7, Section 2 of the Constitution of 1921, we issued a writ of certiorari herein directing the District Judge to transmit to this court the record of the proceedings complained of by the relators and further ordered that the judge and the respondents, Board of Supervisors of Elections of the Parish of Lafayette, James M. Gardiner, Registrar of Voters of the Parish -of Lafayette, and Gaston Hebert, Sheriff of the Parish of Lafayette, show cause why the relief prayed for by the relators in their petition for writs should…
