This is an action to recover damages for an alleged libel. The plaintiff, under her maiden name of Rosamund Lee Shaw, contracted with School District No. 86 in Clackamas County to teach in its schools. The defendants constitute the board of directors of that district. Briefly stated, the facts are that the plaintiff, then of the age of twenty-seven years, suffered herself, while teaching under the contract, to be courted by one of her pupils, a young man ten years younger.
