Defendant (Appellant) was convicted after trial by jury of attempted murder, Ind. Code § 35-42-1-1; § 35-41-5-1 (Burns 1979), two counts of battery, Ind.Code § 35-42-2-1 (Burns 1979), resisting arrest, Ind.Code § 35-44-3-3 (Burns 1979), and possession of a controlled substance, Ind. Code § 35-48-4-7 (Burns 1979). He was sentenced to five concurrent terms, the longest being twenty (20) years for attempted murder.
