An action in case, in which plaintiff sued as the assignee of a claim the Continental Illinois Bank & Trust Company, of Chicago, Illinois (hereinafter called Continental Bank), had against defendant, growing out of the loss it sustained through a shipment by registered mail, via defendant’s railroad, of $21,974 in currency, which was lost or stolen while in the care, custody and control of defendant.
