Charles E. Horton sued Griffin Wood Company, Inc. (“Griffin Wood”), on December 8, 2000, seeking workers’ compensation benefits and alleging that he had suffered an injury to his.back during the course of his employment with Griffin Wood that rendered him permanently and totally disabled.
