Before the court is the USCIT Rule 55(b) motion of Plaintiff United States ("Government") for default judgment in the amount of $854,005.12, a sum certain, plus pre- and post-judgment interest, and costs, against Defendant Mariola International Company ("Mariola") for the recovery of unpaid federal excise taxes ("FETs") pursuant to Section 592(d) of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended, 19 U.S.C. § 1592 (d), and 28 U.S.C. § 1582 (3) (2012).
