The plaintiff brought an action of assumpsit, in his individual right, to recover of the defendant for personal services, as an attorney at law. The defendant filed an affidavit of defense admitting the validity of several items of the claim aggregating $512.60, but attempting to assert, by way of set-off, a claim for the sum of $1,000, and averring her right to a certificate for a balance of $487.40.
