In a four-count information, defendant, Dennis Casey, was charged with three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of assault with intent to commit murder. On December 3, 1980, defendant was convicted by a jury of the lesser included offense of assault with intent to commit great bodily harm less than murder, in violation of MCL 750.84; MSA 28.279, the trial court having dismissed the three counts of criminal sexual conduct after completion of proofs.
