*297After a jury trial, Hayden Gonzalez ("Gonzalez") was convicted of aggravated assault ( OCGA § 16-5-21 ), false imprisonment ( OCGA § 16-5-41 ), and violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act: possession of less than one ounce of marijuana ( OCGA § 16-13-30 (j) ). Gonzalez filed a motion for new trial, which the trial court denied.
