This is an appeal from an order granting permanent cus*3tody with the right to consent to adoption to the State Welfare Department of Montana. The order was made concerning three named children by the district court of the eighth judicial district, Cascade County, the Hon. Truman G. Bradford, presiding. The appeal is by the mother.

The single issue is whether the district court had jurisdiction to enter an order dated February 9, 1972, granting permanent custody to the state.
