McBRIDE, Judge.

This appeal presents an action arising out of a tragic traffic accident which happened on the morning of October 9, 1952, about 7:45 o’clock on U. S. Highway 61, on the north side of Bayou Manchac approximately twelve miles south of Baton Rouge. One of the vehicles involved was a Ford automobile owned by Julius C. Stock-well and driven by him in a southerly direction or toward New Orleans, and the other was a heavily-ladened stake body GMC truck, owned by Gulf Engineering Company, Inc., and which was being operated by its employee, Frazie Hall, in a northerly direction or…
