Appellant LaPeze Dental Laboratories, Inc. [hereinafter “LaPeze”] appeals a May 29, 1996 judgment of the 24th Judicial District Court, the Honorable Martha C. Sas-sone, Judge, presiding, granting judgment in favor of Harry Lee, Sheriff and Ex Officio Tax Collector for the Parish of Jefferson [hereinafter “Tax Collector”] and dismissing LaPeze’s suit for refund of occupational licensing taxes paid under protest.
