On the 1st day of November, 1892, appellant and appellee entered into a written contract as follows: “This contract made this 1st day of November, 1892, by and between Fleming Manufacturing Company, of Fort Wayne, county of Allen, party of the first part, and E. L. Lathrop, of Fort Wayne, party of the second part. Witnesseth, that for the considerations hereinafter mentioned on the part of the second party, the first party agrees to, and does hereby, hire the second party for a period of three years, from November 1, 1892, at a salary of one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00) per…
