Dear Director Moore:

This is in response to your request for clarification of Opinion Number 88-381, which was issued in response to several questions involving the possession of liquor for consumption on unlicensed private club premises in "dry" counties.

We concluded in that opinion that as a general matter, A.C.A. 3-3-306(a) will not operate to preclude one from carrying liquor into a private club, so long as the one (1) gallon limitation specified in that Code section is not…
