Appeal from an order of the Family Court of St. Lawrence County (Nelson, J.), entered March 17, 1998, which, inter alia, granted respondent’s cross application, in a proceeding pursuant to Family Court Act article 6, for sole custody of the parties’ children.

The parties were married in 1983; they have two children, a son born in 1987 and a daughter born in 1993.
