MEMORANDUM OF DECISION
ORMA R. SMITH, District Judge.
Mary Joy King was convicted of the murder of her husband in the Circuit Court of Clay County, Mississippi, and has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the commission of the crime.
An appeal has been perfected by Mrs. King and is presently pending in the Supreme Court of Mississippi.
Mrs. King’s application for bail pending appeal has been refused by the trial and Supreme Courts. The Mississippi statute governing the matter of bail after conviction is Miss.Code Ann. § 99-35-115 (1972). This statute provides in pertinent part that “[a]…
