Plaintiff Johnny Coleman brought suit against his employer, defendant Roadway Express, alleging racial discrimination and retaliation in violation of the Civil Rights Act of 1866, as amended (42 U.S.C.A. § 1981) and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended (42 U.S.C.A. §§ 1981a, 2000e through 2000e-17). Following a jury verdict in favor of Roadway Express, this court entered judgment, taxing costs to Coleman.
