OPINION
WEISBERGER, Chief Justice.
This ease comes before us on appeal by the plaintiffs from a summary judgment entered in the Superior Court in favor of the defendants and from denial of the plaintiffs’ cross-motion for summary judgment. Given the posture of this case, the pleadings, affidavits, admissions, and other materials before the court must be viewed in the light most favorable to the parties opposing the summary-judgment motions.
