We granted review in this matter to determine whether the Superior Court erred in affirming the trial court’s denial of Appellant’s motion to suppress evidence seized by a police officer during a warrant-less inventory search of Appellant’s vehicle following a valid traffic stop. For the reasons set forth below, we are constrained to conclude there was no basis for the officer to conduct an inventory search of Appellant’s vehicle, and, therefore, that the evidence discovered during the inventory search should have been suppressed.
